Andrea Stark received her dance training from Christy McQuaid at the Utah Dance Center, where she has also had the privilege of teaching and choreographing for over 20 years—specializing in teaching tap. She has undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Utah. Andrea is currently a faculty member in the University of Utah’s Health and Kinesiology department where her expertise is in studying and teaching motor skill development and control, motivation, well-being, and performance excellence in dancers and athletes. She believes that positive and challenging dance experiences are meaningful in promoting happy, healthy young dancers and is grateful to combine her knowledge of movement science with her love of dance.
